Stuart Charles Clark

Stuart Charles Clark, age 59, of Shelton entered into eternal peaceful rest on Friday, February 14, 2025 with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Bridgeport on September 7, 1965 son of the late Richard L. Clark, Sr. and Vivian (Heyse) Clark and was a Shelton resident for most of his life. He worked for the City of Shelton for many years.

Stuart was a proud graduate of Shelton High School Class of 1986. He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 571 in
Derby and an honorary member of the Pine Rock Park Fire Department. He was very active with Special Olympics. Stuart competed in the Shelton, Oxford and West Haven Special Olympics as well as the National and World Special Olympic Games in bowling and track & field events. He was also a team member in the Sikorsky Blade Shop
Bowling League as well as several local bowling leagues. He was a recipient of the Joe Bowler Award. Stuart loved to travel with the many friends he had. 

He was the proud godfather of Jessica Barlow, who was the apple of his eye. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. His family loved him unconditionally and beyond words and was so very proud of all of his accomplishments. He was an angel amongst us all.

Stuart was the beloved brother of Carrie Clark Dansreau and Sallie Clark Triantafillos Barlow and uncle of Richard L. Clark, III, Addison Barlow and Jessica Barlow. Besides his parents, Stuart was predeceased by his Big Brother” Richard L. Clark, Jr. and his brother-in-law Best Buddy” Steve Triantafillos.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday February 23, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home,390 River Rd., Shelton. On Monday, friends are invited to his funeral service at 11 AM at the funeral home. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. 

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Stuart’s family through the funeral home.
