Susan A. Kochefko, age 66, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital. She is the beloved wife of John Merlotti. Susan was born in Bridgeport on July 19, 1957, daughter of Maryann (MacDaniel) Freitas and the late James Smith, and lived in Shelton for twelve years, coming from Stratford.
She did production work at Warners for many years before taking a clerical job in a Medical office. Susan loved her trips to the casino, lobster rolls, and car rides by the water. She was a devoted General Hospital follower and enjoyed playing games on her ipad.
Susan is the beloved mother of JR Kochefko and sister of Beverly Smith.
She also leaves her sister-in-law Ann Conroy, brother-in-law David Conroy, her Aunts, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond J. Kochefko.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from Noon to 2 PM. The family welcomes anyone who attends the visitation to please dress casually. Her funeral service will be private.
