Susan B. Halchak, age 48, wife of John Reilly, a former Oxford resident currently of Fairfield, died Sept. 30.
She was born Dec. 20, 1961 in Derby, daughter of Daniel Halchak and the late Marguerite Polk Halchak.
A graduate of Seymour High School, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from U. of Connecticut in 1983.
In high school, 1979, Susan won the state class M 1 Meter Diving Championship, and in college, 1983 the Eastern Conference 1 Meter Diving Championship.
She was also an accomplished swimmer & gymnast. She worked as a waitress for Circle Diner in Fairfield and attended the St. James Catholic Church in Stratford.
In addition to her husband and father, she leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, John Reilly Jr. & Nicholas Reilly, both of Seymour, her brother Daniel Halchak Jr. of Stratford and sister Mary Ellen Kunz of Stamford and several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine’s Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
