Susan Dagle Walcek, age 62 of Derby, passed away December 11, 2020 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour.
Susan was born in Derby, March 6, 1958, daughter of Florence Callahan Dagle and the late A. Thomas Dagle. Susan was known as a gentle, loving, and compassionate person and was a longtime Certified Nurse’s Aide working for various companies.
She was also a longtime caregiver for her mother. Susan enjoyed music, computers, trips to the casino, trips to her vacation home in Vermont, and making repairs fixing many things. Most of all, she was regarded as an expert problem solver taking on the most difficult tasks for her family or friends. Besides her mother, she is survived by her loving partner Tom Maziuk, brother Thomas Dagle, and many friends and cousins.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband Anthony Walcek, and her beloved cats Mittens, Muffin, Chester, Saber, and Mugsy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby.
A walk-through visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton. Please follow current social distancing guidelines and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Susan’s memory.
