Sylvia E. Mackowski, age 86, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on February 24, 2022, at Regional Hospice in Danbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Mackowski.
Sylvia was born in Barre, Vermont on July 19, 1935, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Manera Elia. She led a long and fulfilled life as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. A resident of Shelton for most of her life, Sylvia was employed as a clerk for the City of Shelton, Registrar of Voters for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Milford.
Sylvia leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Laura Filo (James) of Seymour, Christa Ryan (Matthew) of Woodbury and Diane Mackowski of Woodbury, grandchildren, Lilah Ryan of Woodbury and James and Logan Filo of Seymour, along with several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Enes Elia, Veronica McLaughlin and Marilyn Blanchette.
Per Sylvia’s request, her funeral service and burial will be private. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with her arrangements.
