Tamra V. Maxfield, age 64, entered peaceful rest on October 13, 2022, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Tony T. Maxfield.
Tamra was born in Montpelier, Vermont on April 12, 1958, daughter of the late Emile and Barbara (McGinnis) Viens. A resident of Derby for thirty-three years, she was the self-employed owner of a home cleaning business. Tamra was also a long-time member, bar tender and past club president of the Lemko Club in Ansonia, where she created many life-long friendships. She was the heart and soul and was truly loved and will be missed by everyone there as said, “It will not be the same without her. She was the life of the party!” Tamra was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and held a special place in her heart for cats.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Andrea L. Viens of Derby, sisters, Sandra Larson (Gary) of Northfield, VT, and Cindy King (Alton) of Woodbury, VT, brother-in-law, Robert Badger of Moretown, VT, grandchildren, Kirsten Butters (Tyler) and Tyler Elizabeth Fernandes of Charlotte, MI, Cameron Horlick of Grand Rapids, MI, Gabrielle Foster of Milford, and Gillian Foster of Derby, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Badger and a brother, Peter Viens.
