Tangia Reneé Oliver, age 59 of Hamden, CT entered into eternal rest on Saturday May 7, 2022. Tangia was born in the Bronx, New York City on August 20, 1962.
Tammy, as she was affectionately known, spent her earlier years in Ansonia, CT and later moved to Seymour, CT with her loving parents Edgar and Leona Thomas and siblings. She graduated from Seymour High School and continued her education at Mattituck Community College and Branford Hall Career Institute.
She was employed by the Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center of Hamden for 25 years, and Yale New Haven Health for the past three years. She was the devoted wife of 32 years to Richard Oliver, and was a very loving and devoted mother to her son Khiry Edgar Oliver.
Besides her husband and son, Tammy leaves her parents Edgar and Leona Thomas to cherish her memory, sisters Deneen Kimberly Hunter of Naugatuck, Trenice Mikita (John) of Hamden, brother David Thomas of Miami, Florida, nephew Marquis Croston of Seymour, brother-in-laws Frank Lowe (Sheila), Levi and Alonzo Lowe of New Haven, sister-in-law Angela Taylor (Marshall) of New Haven, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 12 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial follows in Pine Grove Cemetery.
