Temetra “Evelyn” Lindsey, 78, departed this life on November 28, 2018.
She was born on December 9, 1939 to the late Richard and Bessie (Goodson) London.
Temetra was a resident of Ansonia CT and was a long-time member of Evangel Temple. She was a Supervisor at Uniroyal in Naugatuck CT, she worked and retired from Pratt and Whitney, after retirement, she was a caregiver for the elderly. She also was the former President for the J.A.T. Scholarship Fund Committee.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Rosalind Lindsey, and Jill Lindsey (John) both from Ansonia CT, her lovely sister and best friend in life Serena “Dot” Mills; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 4 god children and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, who all were special to her heart. In addition to her parents and lovely companion Ernest M. Grant, she was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
A celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Evangel Temple, 38 Jackson Street, Ansonia, CT. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at church before the services. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
