Teresa Ward, age 87 of Shelton, passed away March 12, 2015 at home.
Teresa was born in Galway, Ireland, September 5, 1927, daughter of the late John and Delia Somers Kelly.
Teresa, a devout Catholic, attended mass daily every morning at St. Ann’s Church, Bridgeport prior to her affliction with dementia.
She is survived by her son, Francis Ward of Shelton, and her sisters, Cathleen Kelly of Leeds, England, and Margaret Leonard of County Westmeath, Ireland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM directly in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby. There will be no calling hours.
The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.
