Theodora Kocaba Bartolotta, 95, of Ansonia, affectionately known as Tess, Teddy or Bart, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2015, at Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Bartolotta.
Mrs. Bartolotta was born in Bridgeport on September 11, 1920, daughter of the late Peter and Magdalena Zemla Kocaba. Tess was a graduate of Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Laurel Heights Hospital in Shelton, until her retirement. She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles.
She is survived by a son, Robert Bartolotta Sr. (Ellen Hutchinson) of TN, a devoted daughter, Carolyn Palmer (Donald Sr.) of Shelton, loving grandchildren, Kimberly Palmer-McDermott (David), Donald Palmer Jr. (Laura), Christopher Palmer (Kimberley Brown), Sharon Kish (Tom) and Robert Bartolotta (Kate), cherished great-grandchildren, Joseph, Patrick, Sean, Brendan, Riley and Andrew and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Julian “Corny” Kocaba.
Tess’s funeral will be held on Monday October 12, 2015, at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on MONDAY MORNING at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church.
