Theodore Navarra, age 90, of Ansonia died March 7, 2011 at Gardner Heights Nursing Facility in Shelton.
He was the beloved husband of Lucille Masciovecchio Navarra.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY November 17, 1920, son of the late Peter and Mary Mitchell Navarra Puente. Theodore was a World War II U. S. Army veteran.
Prior to his retirement he was a mechanic for the Bridgeport Fittings Co., and later worked as a mechanic at Valley Bowl in Derby.
He was also a graduate of Tarrytown High School in Tarrytown, NY and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a loving daughter, Michele Rovasio and her husband Dominick. Two brothers George Puente of Yonkers NY, Albert Puente of Fairlawn, NJ, Three sisters, Irene Lewis of CA, Mary Trentedue, and Dolores Rocco both of Long Island, NY. Two grandchildren, Stephanie and Anthony Rovasio, both of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews, including Carmine Lizza of Derby and Silvia Coscia of Ansonia.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Alexander Navarra and James Puente. Services will be held Wednesday, 8:45 AM at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI / BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME 62 Beaver St., Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia, with Military Honors accorded after Mass.
