Theresa A. Raccio, age 101, of Ansonia entered into rest on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Hewitt Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the devoted wife of the late Emil Raccio. Theresa was born in Derby, on March 19, 1920, daughter of the late Angelo and Margaret (Landona) Volduro. She worked at B.F. Goodrich and as a babysitter before becoming a store manager for many years until her retirement.
Theresa was the beloved mother of Anthony Raccio and his wife Barbara, Richard Raccio and Michelle Nichols, loving grandmother of Sean Hughes and great grandmother of Brianna Hughes. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Salvatore and George Volduro and two sisters, Angelina Danielecki and Mary Eletto.
A walk through visitation will take place on Saturday morning, May 8, 2021 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. Immediately following the visitation, family and friends can go directly to Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
