Theresa Pinchuk

Theresa Pinchuk, age 78, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at the Griffin Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late James Pinchuk. Mrs. Pinchuk was born in Derby, on Oct. 9, 1934 daughter of the late John and Anna (Palfi) German. 

She was employed as the payroll clerk for the former B.F. Goodrich until her retirement. 

Mrs. Pinchuk was a volunteer for the St. Vincent’s DePaul Shop for 27 years. She was a member of the American Legion Sutter-Terlizzi Post 16 Ladies Auxillary for 35 years. Mrs. Pinchuk also enjoyed knitting.

She is the loving sister of James German and his wife Annette of Ansonia and Patricia Merkowitz of Boca Raton, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pinchuk was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and John German, sisters, Rita Jennings, Anna Mae Way and Emily Cavallaro. 

Friends may call on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. 

On Saturday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at a time to be announced. 

Her burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Hospital Cancer Center, 350 Seymour Ave., Derby CT 06418 or American Legion Sutter-Terlizzi Post 16, 295 Bridgeport Ave., Shelton CT 06484.
