Thomas Leary Edward Creed, Jr., age 72, of Oxford entered into rest on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the CT Hospice with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Laura A. (Kopas) Creed.
Mr. Creed was born in Derby on November 3, 1945, son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Flanagan) Creed and was an Oxford resident for 35 years.
He was a counselor for the Regional Network of Programs in Bridgeport and also worked in the Emergency Department at Griffin Hospital for many years until his retirement. Mr. Creed was very active at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford and was a communicant at St. Mary Church in Derby.
He is the beloved father of Patrick Creed and his wife Andrea and Brendan Creed and his wife Karla, brother of Sheila Creed. Mr. Creed is the loving grandfather of Adrian and Janaia Creed and uncle of Heather and Jason Sibley.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Wednesday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford. His burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
