Thomas D. Casa, age 73, entered eternal rest on January 22, 2024.
Tommy was born in Derby on August 6, 1950, son of the late Thomas V. Casa and Teresa J. Casa. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and attained Eagle Scout. Following graduation from Derby High School, Class of 1969, Tommy served his country in the United States Army and Reserves. He was a proud member of the Lions Club for many years. Tommy was a master carpenter and the heart of Tommy Casa Construction. With over fifty years in the business, his craftsmanship touched countless lives. He defined the term “Workaholic.” His charismatic nature, unwavering work ethic, and his sense of humor endeared him to all. Tommy was kind, generous and always the first to help others. His pride and joy were his son, his mom, and his family. Tommy leaves behind a legacy of excellence and kindness. May his spirit continue to inspire, and his memory be a source of comfort to those who knew and loved him.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving son, Thomas C. Casa of Madison, a sister, Mary T. Lucas (Gordon) of Raleigh, NC, nephews, Daniel A. Lucas of Raleigh, NC and Dennis Keller of Colorado, stepbrothers, Dominic Casa (Lynn) of Derby and Salvatore J. Casa (Lisa) of West Haven, and many friends. In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his sister, Julianna Keller, stepfather, Salvatore J. Casa Sr. and stepbrother, Edward Casa.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday morning, all are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial by meeting directly at 10:00 am at St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue in Derby.
