Thomas F. Moran, age 72, a former resident of Ansonia and Woodbury, currently of Orange, entered into eternal rest at home on Sept. 29.
He was born Sept. 17, 1942 in Ansonia, son of the late Joseph J. Moran Sr. and Rose Marie Ford Moran.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, Thomas worked for Oxford Paint & Hardware Store. He was also a Past Captain and retired active member of The Storm Engine Co #2 and Storm Ambulance Corp., both of Derby and past member of The Charter Hose Fire Co. in Ansonia.
He is survived by his brother Leo Moran & his wife Sandra of Orange, his sister Eunice Buchholz of Newington, cousin Jack Granatie of Ansonia and best friend and neighbor Leela Wojczak of Orange and numerous nieces, nephews & grand nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Edward, Henry & Joseph Moran Jr., sister Lillian Kruger, and nephew Leo Moran Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Infant Church in Orange. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
