Thomas F. O’Neil Jr., 85 of Ansonia entered into eternal rest on Sept. 26, in St. Vincent Hospital. He is the husband to Patricia (DeFelice) O’Neil. Born in Derby on May 10,1938 son of the late Thomas F. and Agnes (Bruno) O’Neil, a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, graduate of the Assumption School and the Ansonia High School, a Veteran of the U. S. Navy, retiring from the U. S. Post Office working in Central Dispatch for 18 years.
Tom, was a fifty-year official in Football, Baseball, Basketball and Lacross. Survivors besides his wife son Thomas F. (Christine) O’Neil III and step son Peter of Shelton. Predeceased by his wife Carol Rose, and Brother Terrance O’Neil. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 – 7p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 9:00a.m. with friends meeting directly in the Church of The Assumption. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please made donations to the Assumption School or Church in care of the funeral home.
