Thomas R. Foster, age 56, of Oxford, entered into rest peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Griffin Hospital, Derby surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Derby on September 27, 1960, the loving son of the late Robert H. and Eleanor Olsen Foster. Tom was a devoted banker who loved his job as a Collections Manager at Connex Credit Union. He was a long time resident of Oxford and was very active in the community. Tom was a coach, board member and head referee for Oxford Youth Basketball and was a long time ASA Softball umpire. He was a communicant of Christ Church Quaker Farms in Oxford. Tom will be sadly missed by his family and many friends and will remain forever in our hearts.
Tom’s loving family includes his children Johnathan T. Foster and Melissa M. Foster, his cherished grandchildren, who lovingly call him “Far Far”, Aaliyah Foster and Cameron Aiello and his brother Wayne Foster.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Tom’s life will be offered on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10 am DIRECTLY at Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church Street, Seymour with Rev. Steve Ling officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery Oxford. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (opposite Klarides Village, Rt. 67) Seymour.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in Tom’s memory may be made to the family through the funeral home.
