Thomasina Elizabeth Fountain Glover

Thomasina Elizabeth Fountain Glover was quietly called home on early Sunday morning, August 4, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Thomasina was born on September 18, 1947 in Derby CT. to the late Roosevelt and Annie Mae Bass Fountain.

Thomasina was a life long Ansonia resident. She attended Ansonia Public Schools. She was employed by the former Lifetouch Studio and McDonalds. She was an avid card player. It was hard to beat her at Spades, Bid Whist and Poker. She also loved to play Bingo. She was a member of the former Copper City Elks Drill Team.

Tommy loved her family and friends. Her door was always open to anyone who needed support either being a meal, a place to stay or just someone to talk to. Thomasina was also very handy with tools. She could paint, wallpaper a wall or lay a floor with the skill of a trained professional. She would do it with such enjoyment, stand back, look at it and just smile. That was our Tommy.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories two children, Cynthia Glover Green (James) of Ansonia and son Maurice Glover (Patrice) of Derby and a special Grandson Marcise Glover of Waterbury. Her siblings; Edna Jones (Joseph) of New Haven, Catherine Garris of Naugatuck, Alice Busch of West Haven, Walter Fountain (Sue) of Naugatuck, Selina Scott and Herman Fountain of Ansonia. Seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great ‑great grandchild. Godson Poppy and special friends, Brenda Lathrop and Mona Lisa Bentley.
