Tibor Joseph Nagy, (“TJ” or “Tibi”), 53, of Seymour unexpectedly entered eternal life on Friday November 22, 2019.
“TJ” or “Tibi”, as he was known to family and friends, was born in New Brunswick, NJ in 1966, beloved son of Mary Elizabeth Toth Sandor and the late Tibor Nagy. He was the cherished step-son of Janos Sandor, Sr., the father who raised him.
TJ attended the Trumbull school system and worked for many of his early years at the Sorrento Italian Deli. He then worked for several roofing contractors before establishing his own company, TJ Nagy Roofing LLC, in 2003. His skill, high standards, attention to detail, & welcoming and engaging customer service enabled him to earn the highest Better Business Bureau Rating for his company.
He was a generous and kind hearted man who was always ready to lend a helping hand or word of encouragement to all who were privileged to know him. He was deeply religious and possessed a hunger for God. He attended the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Oxford and the New Life Church in Derby. He was a family man and his beloved sons were the light of his life.
Tibi lived for the quality time they spent together including many family vacations and cruises. He enjoyed traveling and recently visited the Dominican Republic with his brother, Janos Sandor.
He enjoyed fishing, both salt and freshwater with a special fondness for trout and striped bass. He was a wonderful man who touched many lives and was blessed to have a wide circle of friends, including many since childhood. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved Mother, Mary Elizabeth Toth Sandor of Seymour; cherished sons, Tibor “TJ” Nagy, Nicholas Nagy, and Noah Nagy; devoted brother, Janos Sandor, and his wife Mary, of Shelton; nephews Xavier Sandor, Gregory Graft, and Patrick Wynne Sandor, of Shelton.
He is also survived by his dear Aunt Kathleen Toth Stauble of Moose Pass Alaska, and his ex-wife, Mary Uzar Nagy.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 from 12 noon to 4pm at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home 47 Washington Ave. Seymour 06483. Funeral Services are private.
