Timothy J. Lance, age 64, a resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2021 at Griffin Hospital, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Darlene Riccio Lance.
Mr. Lance was born in Bridgeport on March 25, 1956, son of the late Norman and Shirley Purcell Lance. Tim was employed as a Blade Specialist at Sikorsky Aircraft for 36 ½ years. He loved traveling to Las Vegas each year and while there he made sure to cheer on his favorite Las Vegas Knights Hockey Team. Tim also liked spending time at the beach and he mostly enjoyed watching his family bowl. Tim was an avid fan of the NY Mets, the NY Rangers and the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to his wife Darlene, Tim leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Norman “Skip” Lance (Susan) of Stratford, sister in law, Dawn Wisniewski (Dave) of Ansonia, nephews, David Wisniewski (Deana) of East Haven and Michael Wisniewski of Ansonia, a niece, Vera Wisniewski of Ansonia and canine buddies, Bailey and Acey. Darlene sends a heart-felt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Griffin Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
