Vicente Bonaparte, 67, of Ansonia, formerly of Bronx, NY, was received into Heaven on September 3, 2012, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Edelmira Burgos Bonaparte.
Mr. Bonaparte was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on September 6, 1944, son of the late Vicente and Andrea Melendez Bonaparte. He was employed as an accountant in the real estate business and was proud to have volunteered during the Christmas season as a kettle worker at the Stop & Shop in Shelton for the Salvation Army.
Vicente unconditionally loved his family and enjoyed playing dominoes and poker. He will forever be in our hearts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Vincent Bonaparte and Sean Bonaparte of Ansonia, four daughters, Rebecca Ocasio and Vanessa Bonaparte of Bronx, NY, Sonia Heidel of Queens, NY, and Ashtri Bonaparte of CA, three grandchildren, Susuky Ocasio, Jada Espinal, and Jordan Espinal, and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 7, 2012, from 4 – 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday September 8, 2012, at 9:45 am, friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Raymond, 1759 Castle Hill Avenue, Bronx, NY.
Interment will immediately follow in New St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vincent and Sean Bonaparte Education Fund, in care of Rebecca Ocasio, 1348 Balcom Avenue, Bronx, NY 10461.
