Victor Silva, an 84-year-old Hamden resident, entered into eternal rest May 5,2017.
He was born Oct. 31, 1932 in Ansonia, and was the son of the late Vital & Bertha Carr Silva. He was a former Ansonia resident and retired from Black & Decker Co. in Shelton.
Victor leaves to cherish his memory 5 daughters and 3 sons, Victor D. Silva and Steven Silva of Ansonia, Gary (Michele) Silva of Meriden, Sharon and Kathy Silva, both of Ansonia, Denise Sanders of Naugatuck, Cynthia
Silva of Virginia and Audrey Grant of Hamden.
Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers Theodore Silva (Anna) of Richman, VA., Sylvester Silva (Vera) of New Brunswick, N.J., his sisters Geraldine Silva, Dorothy Coleman and Clementa Porter, all of New Haven, Sue Gatison of Hamden, and Bernice Silva of Baltimore, MD. He also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his former wife Estelle Silva. Victor is predeceased by his sisters Elizabeth Washington and Frances Matheny and his brother Claude Silva.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the funeral leaves for church. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
