Victoria T. Burblis, 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday evening November 19, 2016, at Hewitt Health & Rehab in Shelton.
Miss Burblis was born in Ansonia on September 1, 1923, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Pietrowicz Burblis. Victoria was a Registered Nurse being employed as the Director of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ansonia and enjoyed traveling the world.
She is survived by a niece, Bernadette Choszczyk (Lori Beach) of West Haven, nephews, Robert Choszczyk (Terry) of Seymour and Stephen Choszczyk of Ansonia and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Walter, John, Zygmunt and Joseph Burblis and sisters, Genevieve Choszczyk and Mary Tabaka.
Visiting will take place on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 10:45 am, her funeral will process to St. Joseph Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
