Vincent B. Sonsini, age 93, entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2022, in Lady Lake, Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmela Rosiello Sonsini.
Mr. Sonsini was born in Derby on August 12, 1929, son of the late Vincent J. and Jane D. Mezzapelle Sonsini. He served in the United States Navy as a medical corpsman from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He resided in Westerly, RI for many years, until moving to Derby and Lady Lake, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, John Sonsini (Margo) of Shelton and David Sonsini (Sharon) of Derby, sisters, Judith Sonsini and Patricia Rondini (Henry) of Lady Lake, FL, several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many long-time friends in Newport, Westerly, and Middletown, RI, and his special friends at Foxwoods Casino. He was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Joseph Sonsini and a sister, Elizabeth Schuld.
Per Vincent’s request, there will be no public funeral service. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
