Vincent DiCarlo, 88, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2012, at the West Haven V.A. Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Angela R. Goggi DiCarlo.
Mr. DiCarlo was born in Abruzzi, Italy on December 9, 1923, son of the late Pasquale and Cecilia Scalpelli DiCarlo. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he was employed at the former Hull Dye Works in Derby and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he honorably served during WW 2 as a medic in the European Theatre. Vin was a member of the Shelton Senior Center.
He is survived by a loving and devoted sister, Santa DiCarlo of Derby and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday March 31, 2012 at 8:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5 – 7 pm.
