Vincent Laczkoski, age 80, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Lord Chamberlain Rehabilitation Center in Stratford. He is the devoted husband of Josephine Bruno Laczkoski.
Mr. Laczkoski was born in Shamokin, PA on November 22, 1932, son of the late Frank and Anna Switay Laczkoski. He was a Shelton resident for 15 years, living previously in Trumbull for over 27 years. He was employed as a Foreman at Bridgeport Machine for over 42 years before his retirement in 1999.
Mr. Laczkoski was a veteran and served his country with the US Army during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed UCONN Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and was an enthusiastic NY Giants fan.
Mr. Laczkoski is the beloved father of Vincent Laczkoski and his wife Alessa, Jeffrey Laczkoski and his wife Sally, Lisa Peluso, and Lori Bederman and her husband Rudy. He also leaves eight cherished grandchildren, Jaime, Michael Jr., Danielle, Michelle, Kyle, Noelle, and Vincent Joseph, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Laczkoski, brother-in-law Robert Bruno, and mother-in-law Frances Bruno.
Friends may greet his family on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Saturday his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 :00 AM in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Burial with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
