Virginia Rose Spinelli

Virginia Rose Spinelli, age 97, wife of the late Michael J. Spinelli and lifelong Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest April 3 at Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton.

She was born on Christmas Day in 1916 to the late Louis & Philomenia Fannie” Ezzo Eletto and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Ann (John) McCall of Ansonia, 2 sons, Carl (Jeanette) Spinelli of Laurel, Delaware & Michael Spinelli of Ansonia, sister Babe LaPaglia of Ansonia and 9 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 1 brother & 4 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 8 at 10:00a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Family and friends will gather at 9:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call Monday evening at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Bishop Wicke Health Center, of 580 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton, CT., for the loving care given to Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be given to the Bishop Wicke Recreation Dept.
