Wallace E. Hayton, age 84, entered eternal rest on June 20, 2023, at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol Woznick Hayton.
Wally was born in Meriden on April 5, 1939, son of the late Adelbert Hayton and Marion Peck Watts. His potato salad was always the star of family gatherings. Later, his grandchildren brought him joy and kept him busy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Patricia A. Venice (Robert) of Cheshire and Jessica L. Hayton (Robert Sensale) of Wallingford, grandsons, Ryan Venice of Cheshire and Mark Venice of Miami, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Dwight, Roy, Marvin and Butch Hayton and sisters, Beverly Vecchitto, Clara, Ruthie, and Janet Hayton.
