Walter J. Biesadecki, Sr., age 83, of Derby entered into rest on Wednesday August 21, 2013 in his home. He was the devoted husband of the late Evelyn (Bartone) Biesadecki.
Mr. Biesadecki was born in Derby on June 23, 1930 son of the late Ignace and Catherine (Trela) Biesadecki and was a lifelong Derby resident. Walter was very proud to of played football and graduate from Derby High School. He was an employee of the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton for 25 years and then went to worked for the City of Derby at the Sewer Treatment Plant for 20 years until his retirement. Walter was an avid NY Yankee Fan and enjoyed watching UCONN Basketball.
He is the beloved father of Linda Vaccaro and her husband Lorie, Lisa McManus and her husband Edward, Walter Biesadecki, Jr. and his wife Nancy, and Gary Biesadecki and his wife Cecile. He is the cherished grandfather of Eddie McManus, Heather Corcoran and her husband Jeff, Ronald Vaccaro, Annie Biesadecki, Gary Biesadecki, and his wife Alexa, Robert Vaccaro, and his wife Anissa, Jeff Biesadecki, and his wife Christina, Walter Biesadecki, and Laura Biesadecki. He is the adored great-grandfather of Brody Corcoran, Greenley Vaccaro, and Charlotte Biesadecki, and also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Theodore and Chester Biesadecki.
Friends may greet his family Friday (Aug. 23) from 3 to 7 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby. On Saturday his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
