Walter J. Hannon, age 80, beloved husband of 59 years to Carol (Maggiore) Hannon of Ansonia and formerly of Milford, passed away on July 25, 2018.
He was the son of Walter and Mary (Tarrant) Hannon and was born on May 16, 1938 in Bridgeport. He proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked as a test man for CL & P Power Plant in Devon for 33 years and continued driving for various car dealerships. Walter was a member of Milford Elks Club, a loyal friend of Bill W. and a grateful member of GA for 40 years. He was an avid bowler (average 200) and a Giants and Red Sox fan.
In addition to his devoted wife, Walter leaves four loving children, Mark A. Hannon of Ansonia, Timothy F. Hannon (Terry) of Belchertown, MA, Tracie M. DiMaio (Bob) of Hamden and Stephen M. Hannon (Maria) of Milford and five grandchildren, Robert DiMaio (Sarah) Alex & Kyle DiMaio, Emily & Kaylee Hannon, his great grandson Liam DiMaio, his brother, William B. Hannon of Huntington and several nieces & nephews. His brother, Kevin Hannon predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at Saint Ann Church (Saint Raphael Parish), 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford. Interment will be private.
