Warren Hull Bice, age 73 of Lake Wales, formerly of Oxford and Seymour, CT entered into peaceful rest October 13, 2010 in Good Shepherd Hospice after fighting cancer for 12 years, this last episode was just too much for him to overcome.
He was the beloved husband of Lois (Kateley) Bice. Warren was born October 28, 1936 in Derby, CT son of the late Warren Frederick & Doris Elizabeth (Hull) Bice.
He graduated from Seymour High School and the University of Connecticut, and was retired from AMF Corp., and the Homer D. Bronson Co. Warren moved to Florida in 1987 to enjoy warmer weather.
He was an avid golfer and worked for 10 years at Mountain Lake Corp where he took great pride in maintaining the driving range. He retired in 2007. Warren leaves in addition to his wife of 25 years, his son, Brian Bice of Sandisfield, MA; daughter, Robin Opekun of Naugatuck, CT; step-children, Adrienne Roundy and Michele Grey both of ME and Kevin Smith of AL; sister, Betsy Lobdell of Seymour, CT; 3 grandchildren, Curtis Opekun, Rebecca Opekun and EJ Harris; nephew, Art Lobdell; and a niece, Bonnie Halligan. A Memorial Service in celebration of Warren’s life will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, CT.
