Willard “Bill” Hamlin, age 70, entered into eternal rest at his home in Seymour July 27.
He was born December 27, 1940 in New Hampshire, son of the late Alton & Madalyn Jordan Hamlin.
He was co-owner of the family business, Hamlin Construction in Seymour, was a past member of Naugatuck Valley Snow Stormers and many social clubs.
Bill also enjoyed camping and traveling with his family.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Rae Bradshaw Hamlin, he was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline Putney, and two sisters in law Jean Banks & Eleanor Hamlin.
He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Hamlin Bomba and Cheryl Hamlin Blakeman & her husband Dwight, six grandchildren, Joshua & Jodi Barrett, Hollie Bomba, and Travis, Kyle & Nathan Blakeman, all of Seymour.
He also leaves his brother George Hamlin & his wife Rachelle of Maine, brother in law Bill Banks of Seymour, dear friend Marie Koshis and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m., with friends asked to go directly to Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff St. Ansonia.
Burial will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.
Friends may call on Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Seymour Police DARE program.
