William “Bill” P. Vorrase

William Bill” P. Vorrase, 77, originally from Seymour, CT and a longtime resident of Ansonia, CT, died peacefully in his home in New Port Richey, Florida surrounded by his loved ones. William was born in Derby, CT to Katherine and Victor Vorrase. He grew up in the Valley and attended Seymour High School. Following his graduation, he entered into the United States Air Force. Upon completion of his military duty, he continued his education at ECPI University. William was employed by Pitney Bowes and Dictaphone Corporation as a Programming Manager and IT Specialist until his retirement when he relocated to Florida.

Bill was a member of the Webster Hose Valley Fireman’s bowling league, A Team. His favorite pastimes included golfing and playing cards with family and friends. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia, CT and a proud U.S. Veteran.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Latham Vorrase of 54 years and his two loving daughters, Leanne Vorrase of Lutz, FL and Loren Vorrase-Purcell and husband Benjamin Purcell of East Haven, CT. He is also survived by his Aunt, Jeanne Diotalevi, sister-in-law, Joanne Latham, brother-in-law, William Latham and his wife Stacie, along with many cousins and friends. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 14th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins-King and Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street Ansonia, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday (DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
