William J. Moyher, age 79, of Shelton entered into rest peacefully on Saturday May 3, 2014, in Coachman Square in Woodbridge with his family by his side. He is the devoted husband of 53 years to Mary Ellen (Lowe) Moyher.
Mr. Moyher was born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1935, son of the late Paul and Mary (Sekelsky) Moyher and has been a Shelton resident for most of his life. Bill served our country in the US Army. He was a carpenter with Handy and Harmon in Fairfield from the age of 16 until his retirement in 1998. He was a very dedicated family man, who greatly enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and woodworking.
He is the beloved father of Kevin Moyher (Margaret DeMartino), Bill Moyher, Kathy Mohyer, and Sue Noworolski (Mark), cherished grandfather of Adam and Logan Noworolski, and brother of Christine Lapinski. He is survived by his mother-in-law Agnes Lowe, sister-in-law Helen Moyher, and brother-in-law George Petrovick and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers John Moyher, and Paul Moyher, and three sisters Mary Babina, Anne Petrovick, and Helen Kader.
Friends may greet his family on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton on Thursday at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
