William J Wilchinski, age 71, of Oxford, known to all his friends as “Ski”, the beloved husband of 46 years to Barbara Wilchinski, entered into rest peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport on July 14, 1949, loving son of the late Walter and Helen Wilchinski. Bill worked as a machinist for Borg Warner in Trumbull for many years and then before his retirement, worked at Pomperaug Woods in Southbury.
“Ski” was an active member of the American Legion Post 16 of Shelton where he enjoyed many games of shuffleboard, horseshoes and cold beers with his friends. Most of all, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family at home especially when playing cribbage and watching football with his grandsons whom he adored.
His loving family in addition to his wife Barbara includes his two daughters Kim Francoeur and Tammy Lucibella and her Husband Richard, his cherished grandchildren Erick Northrop and his fiancé Dawn Masterson and Anthony Lucibella. Bill is also survived by his sister Patricia Beloin and her daughter Noelle and many other nieces and nephews. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends and especially his grandog Boo.
All services, including full military honors, are private and at the convenience of the family.
