William Lewis Steeves

William Lewis Steeves, age 64, husband to Connie Steeves and resident of Derby, passed away April 15. 

He was born July 24, 1950 in Omaha Nebraska, son of the late Marvin Steeves and his mother Jean Sartirana Steeves of Derby. 

He graduated from Jones College in Jacksonville, Fl. 

He was founder and President of Corporate Display Specialty’s Co. and later the Canine Bed Bug Locaters Co. and enjoyed traveling extensively with his jobs. 

He was also fond of hosting friends with Miller Lights on the Housatonic River with his pontoon boat. 

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Danielle Farrer & her husband Jayson of Monroe, step sons Bill DeRosa & wife Amy of Oxford, and Tom DeRosa & wife Suzanne of Farmington; three sisters Nancy DeGennaro& husband Paul, Karen Izzo & husband John & Cindy Klabonski & husband Tony; eight grandchildren Hailey, Allison, Hunter, Alyssa, Sarah, Ethan, Madison & James, his two dogs Gracie & Dixie and several nieces & nephews. 

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church of Ansonia. 

There are no calling hours, burial will be private.
