William Thomas Loughlin, Sr., age 84, of Seymour, the beloved husband of Jeannette Filanowski Loughlin, entered into eternal rest peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1934, son of the late James and Della Finn Loughlin.
Bill retired after many years of service as a Production Planner at Avco Lycoming of Stratford. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Bill was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour and was an avid golfer. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts.
His family includes his loving son William T. Loughlin, Jr. and his wife Fatos of Wallingford, his caring daughter Susan Loughlin of Shelton, his devoted brother John Loughlin and his wife Marilyn of Dunellon, FL, his two cherished grandsons Jordan Janaskie and Kevin Loughlin, his four cherished granddaughters Olivia Loughlin, Avery Janaskie, Kathryn Loughlin and Elizabeth Loughlin and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Linda Janaskie and his loving brother James Loughlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour will follow. There will be no visitation.
