William M. Boulay

William M. Boulay, age 68, entered eternal rest on May 18, 2025, at Masonicare in Wallingford. 

He was the beloved husband of Ellen (Beers) Boulay.Born in Derby on September 22, 1956, he was the son of Ann Zvonkovic Boulay of Barrington, IL, and the late Ralph S. Boulay. 

Bill grew up in Ansonia, graduated from Ansonia High School class of 1974 and resided in Woodbridge since 2007. 

In 1981, Bill began his career in club management at Shorehaven Golf Club, in Norwalk, CT. After twenty-five years, he took a different direction and acted as the general contractor during construction of his home in Woodbridge. 

He later returned to club management, ending his career in 2020 at Roton Point Beach Club in Rowayton, CT. He was extremely talented with his hands and could build and fix almost anything. 

Bill carefully drew schematics that he would then build and recreate. He took great pride taking care of his yard, no leaf was safe from Bill’s attentive watch. He was a member of the Connecticut Club Managers Association. 

Bill enjoyed playing golf, softball and he was an avid fan of UCONN basketball and the New York Yankees. 

He was a very proud father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife Ellen, Bill leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Thomas M. Boulay (Alicia) of Oxford, a daughter, Debra L. Bodner-Beurer (Matthew) of Woodbridge, brothers, Ralph S. Boulay Jr. (Marge) of Naugatuck, James Boulay (Linda) of Ansonia, and Lawrence Boulay (Elizabeth) of Barrington, IL, grandchildren, Benjamin, Braydon and Carter Boulay and Harper Bodner, sister-in-law, Eileen Boulay of Killingworth, along with several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

He was predeceased by his twin brother, Robert Boulay.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. 

On Friday morning, all are invited to attend his funeral by meeting directly at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church/Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Parish, 212 Elizabeth Street in Derby for his Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
