A story published last week at ValleyIndy.org sparked a debate between Derby resident Rick Dunne and Derby reporter Eugene Driscoll.
The story was ostensibly about a routine Derby tax board meeting, but the Valley Indy raised questions as to whether the budget process conforms with state’s Freedom of Information Act.

Dunne, a former Derby tax board member, a former Aldermen, and the current executive director of the Valley Council of Governments, was critical of the article, and made his views known in the comment section. Click here to read his comments.
