Derby Church Hosts Fall Festival

Derby’s Walnut Hill Community Church will host a Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will be held in the church parking lot at the corner of 9th and Smith Streets.

There will be kids games, prizes, a bouncy house, hot dogs, cotton candy and popcorn for the first 100 people, pumpkin decorating, face painting and information on services available to Derby residents through both the Derby Public Library and TEAM.

The festival is part of a monthly series of events the church is launching called Neighborhood Happenings.

The November event is a free Turkey dinner and December is old fashioned Christmas Caroling in the neighborhood ending at the church with some more singing and coffee.
