After a major North End drug bust in October, Ansonia police said they’ve continued to make arrests for drug dealing in the city.
This week, the department announced six drug arrests it made during November and December.
That’s on top of the eight arrests made Wednesday morning, after a drug raid at a home on Howard Avenue.
The six arrests announced Thursday come after investigations by the Ansonia Police Department Anti-Crime Unit.
The arrests, and charges, are listed below:
Christopher Senior, age 47, of 291 Norton Street New Haven.
Arrested Nov. 22, 2011 on two warrants.
Charges:
- Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Narcotics,
- Possession within 1500 feet of a School with intent to Sell,
- Possession within 1500 feet of a School.
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell,
- Sale of Prescription Drugs,
- Possession of Narcotics, and
- Possession Within 1500 Feet of a School.
Edward Rumley, age 19, of 573 Beaver Street.
Arrested Nov. 22, 2011 on two warrants
Charges:
- Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Narcotics,
- Possession of Narcotics,
- Possession within 1500 feet of a School
- Sale of Prescription Drugs,
- Possession of Narcotics
Ebony Wright, age 24, 13 Third Street, Ansonia.
Arrested Dec. 5, 2011 on a single warrant.
Charges:
- Illegally Obtaining or Supplying Prescription Drugs 2 counts,
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia within 1500 feet of a School,
- Risk of Injury
Samuel Smith, age 29, of 127 Wakelee Ave.
Arrested on Dec. 7, 2011
Charges:
- Sale of Narcotics,
- Possession within 1500 feet of a School with Intent to Sell,
- Possession of Narcotics,
- Possession within 1500 feet of a School.
Frances James, age 64, 15 Third Street Ansonia.
Arrested on Dec. 2, 2011
Charges:
- Failure to Keep drugs in Original Container,
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,
- Illegally Supplying Prescriptions Drugs
- Possession of Narcotics,
- Possession of less than 4 oz Marijuana
- Possession with 1500 feet of a School.
Quayshaun Rhodes, age 20, 291 Elizabeth Street Derby.
Arrested on Dec. 20, 2011 on three warrants
Charges:
- Three counts of Sale of Narcotics
- Three counts of Possession of Narcotics.
