Man Jumps Out Window To Avoid Ansonia Cops

Ansonia PDA man jumped out a second-floor window then grabbed onto cable and telephone wires to slide down to the ground early Wednesday in an attempt to get away from police officers conducting a drug raid at a home on Howard Avenue.

Police later caught up with the man — identified as Marcos Boyd, 21 — hiding in a Bassett Street basement. They arrested him for allegedly selling drugs.

Ansonia police worked with Derby police, a Meriden police dog, and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration in the bust Wednesday morning.

They arrested eight people and recovered crack cocaine, money and two handguns from the Howard Avenue home in the effort.

Lt. Andrew Cota released the names of those arrested Thursday afternoon.
