A Shelton man was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday for robbing the Webster Bank at 375 Bridgeport Ave. last December.
The New Haven Register reports Michael Magliocco, 27, received an 18-year prison sentence, which is suspended after serving nine.
He’ll be on probation after that.
Magliocco walked into the bank about 10 a.m. Dec. 30 and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Bank employees complied, police never said how much money he stole. No one was injured.
Magliocco was arrested hours after the robbery after surveillance photo from the heist was circulated by the media and cops received calls identifying him as the suspect.
Police said they found Magliocco at a condo complex next to the bank property and took him into custody.
