Oxford Memorial Day 5K May 25, Followed By Parade

The Oxford Parks and Recreation is hosting its Seventh Annual Memorial Day 5K Freedom Run on Monday, May 25 at 8 a.m.

The race starts at the Oxford Town Hall, 486 Oxford Road, and goes south on Route 67 to the Pleasant Valley Shopping Center and back to Town Hall before the annual Memorial Day Parade, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

The course has been USATF-certified. All net proceeds will go to our own members of the active and veteran military.

Walkers are also welcome to participate in the 2‑mile fitness walk.

The cost to participate is $25 per person if you register in advance.

Veterans and active military personnel may participate for FREE!

Wheelchairs and Baby Joggers are also welcome!

The first 200 registrants will receive a commemorative race T‑shirt. Prizes will be awarded in various categories.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, we will also once again hold the Kids Rock Hopper Fun Run.

Kids ages 5 – 12 will run from the Town Hall to Oxford Center School and back for a total of a half-mile.

The Rock Hopper Fun Run registration fee is $10 and the first 100 kids to register will receive fun gifts as well!
