UPDATE: The Great Give is now over. It raised more than $1 million for groups in the Valley and greater New Haven. The Valley Indy received 119 individual gifts, which translates into $6,745.

The Great Give is an annual online fundraiser for hundreds of nonprofits in the area, including about 40 nonprofits right here in the lower Naugatuck Valley.
There are Great Give donation links on our home page under ‘extra, extra’ for every local group participating.
During the marathon video webcast, we will have interviews with about 15 representatives from Valley nonprofits, in addition to a few surprise guests.

During the video webcast, we will not sleep. We will rarely venture from the office. We will not stop blabbing. We’ll be paying our children’s babysitter a ton of extra money.
Why?
Because we want to raise awareness about The Great Give — and, yes, we need to raise money for a specific nonprofit … The Valley Independent Sentinel!
