Large Police Presence On Hawthorne Avenue

Police were at a house on Hawthorne Avenue all day Friday after a baby was rushed to the hospital.

Full details are not known at this time. The Valley Indy sent a message to Derby police Friday evening.

Emergency responders were sent to the house at 11:54 a.m. after receiving a report of a baby in cardiac arrest.

The baby — a 3‑month-old boy — was taken to Griffin Hospital. The child was later taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven.

A state police truck and Derby police were still on scene as of 6 p.m. investigating.

The house is on Hawthorne Avenue, across from Cedric Avenue.
