On Wednesday, Feb. 23, Derby Democratic mayoral hopeful Dan Foley will be hosting a “Meet Dan Foley” night at St. Jude’s Church at 7:00 p.m. for Derby’s 3rd Ward residents.
This initial “Meet Dan Foley” night is the first in a series to be held throughout the campaign that will see Foley visit each of the city’s three wards to gather thoughts, ideas and concerns from residents as he prepares to become the next mayor of Derby.
Come share your suggestions and opinions on what is best for Derby.
Coffee and cookies will be served.

A debate in February? Has that ever happened in the history of politics? A potential primary would not happen until August. Timing is way off for a debate.
I’d enjoy watching the debate though, but not before May.
Debates do not have to align themselves to the history of politics. I have a time-slot with Cable 10 should anyone want to debate. Having “flushed” my opponents out early, my team is concentrating on bringing jobs to Derby. We are in contact with a business and are negotiating the deal. You don’t need to run for office or have a special interest in monetary gain to bring business to Derby. As taxpayers we all should get involved in the process of making Derby “Open for Business.”
Care to enlighten the taxpayers as to what business you are bringing into Derby? You’re negotiating the deal, so let us know who it is.
Your claim is not very credible unless you can identify the business. If you’re as forthright as you claim, I look forward to your honest and open response.
To Derby Guy: Please call me at 203 231 6353 anytime after 9 pm or you can email to my personal email account at mark1134@yahoo.com
Dear Sharpeye: I know cable 10 is only for Comcast. But, I am trying to get the VHS tape up on youtube this week and will send you the link once I get it. Thanks
Mark Searles: unfortunately, that was the answer I was expecting from you. How can anyone consider you a viable candidate if you make public claims then will not back them up publicly? Everyone has your phone number and email address as you have posted it a number of times already. Again, I look forward to your most honest and open response.
Dear Derby Guy: I respect your wish to remain anonymous. Fear is a tough thing to overcome. But if you ask any other blogger they can tell you that when they emailed me personally I was forthcoming and honest on all subject matter. If you know about Real Estate deals, then you would know that “publicly” speaking about them can do more damage than good. That being said: if you are not comfortable calling or emailing me, then I invite you to come chat with me at my house. My door will always be open.
I would rather not call, email, visit or anything else for that matter with you. You made a statement and have failed to back it up.
You are running your campaign answering questions (or not answering I should say) through blogs.
My mind has been made up already. Thank you for making my decision so easy so early in the process.
