For the past two years I have taken my role as State Representative very seriously, working diligently for the people of the 105th District.
As your voice in Hartford I have spent the past two years working diligently to bring common sense principles back to the State Capitol.
I vehemently opposed the $1.8 billion tax increase that Governor Malloy proposed and instead co- sponsored an alternative proposal that would have balanced the state budget without tax
increases.
I have fought wasteful spending, such as the $800 million funding for the New Britain to Hartford Busway, which is in my opinion an unbelievable waste of money. I am incredibly proud to say that I was an original sponsor of legislation which capped the petroleum gross receipts tax, a little known second tax we pay on gasoline.
Locally I helped secure more than $700,000 in funding for the Housatonic Wire cleanup and helped obtain new sewers on Chamberlain Road.
In Beacon Falls I was active in the replacement of a dangerous bridge and dilapidated retaining walls on Route 42. These are just few examples of community projects I have assisted with.
Ultimately I believe that the people of the 105th District deserve a representative who will fight hard for a more responsible approach to our state government.
My opponent and I both have records in the Legislature, and I encourage everyone to examine both records in detail.
I believe our records differ greatly. You will find that I’ve spent my tenure in Hartford working for smaller state government, less spending, fewer taxes, and common-sense principles.
The Governor has already indicated a willingness to increase taxes again, but I believe there is another way to fix our state.
If you believe as I do that the State of Connecticut is currently on the wrong path and that we can’t afford more of the same, then I hope you will consider supporting me for State Representative.

Thank you for fighting hard for us in the 105th District. I know it must be a difficult fight for you, especially when the new government decides to spend much more than the current tax base can support. Their decision to raise both the state sales and income tax to satisfy their appetite to spend, is just proof that the current administration does not really care about the strained middle class of Connecticut. Tough fiscal times require difficult and intelligent cost cutting measures. Connecticut residents were warned about Mr Malloy, and his insatiable appetite to spend others hard earned income. I know your neighbors will come out to support you as you help to keep Hartford in check. This though, will be a difficult task, since the legislature is controlled by Mr. Malloy’s’ like-minded legislators.
