Antoinette “Annette” (Spivak) DiMauro, age 94 of Prospect and beloved wife of the late Samuel DiMauro, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in her home. Born in Derby on February 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Timothy and Tatiana (Zelem) Spivak.
A former payroll clerk for Waterbury Hospital, Annette went on to open a hardware store with Sam for many years, and then worked at CVS in Prospect as well as in Naugatuck, where she was a customer favorite. She was a parishioner at 3 Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Ansonia and sang in their choir. Annette enjoyed doing word searches, reading, TV game shows, working in her yard, and especially spending time with her husband and family skiing at Mt. Snow (VT).
She is survived by her sister, Carol Vansak; several nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friends and neighbors, Maryann, James and Michael Plourde. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her siblings, John and Michael Spivak, Ann Deren, Mary Bankert, Helen Klanko-Grazuano, and Julie Martin.
